Ilulissat: Ice-fjord Flight Sightseeing
Discover huge icebergs pushing towards the mouth of the Ilulissat Icefjord, breaching their way into the Disko Bay.
Get to see the very small settlement of Ilimanaq just south of the ice fjord, and if you are lucky, you might get a glimpse of the many whales in the bay on your way back to Ilulissat. We fly small fixed-wing aircraft, ideal for sightseeing.
Being high wing-mounted with large windows at each seat, you have the perfect conditions for taking pictures and bringing your memories back home, as well as giving you a clear view of the landscape.
These excursions sell out quickly, so they need to be preordered. If there are any spaces available, these may be purchased onboard

Ilulissat and the UNESCO Icefjord
Welcome to Ilulissat, home to Sermeq Kujalleq and the Ilulissat Icefjord: one of UNESCO’s most treasured World Heritage Sites. This breathtaking region in western Greenland is where colossal icebergs are formed and begin their slow journey into Disko Bay.
To the west lies Qeqertarsuaq (Disko Island), surrounded by the spectacular Disko Bay. The surrounding coastline is dotted with traditional settlements like Ilimanaq, Qasigiannguit, Oqaatsut, or Qeqertaq, which paint the beautiful seashore you will see as you soar into the skies.
The bay itself is alive with wildlife: harbor seals, humpback and shy minke whales, and countless bird species, best spotted from above.

Scenic Flight Over Icebergs & Glaciers
Your journey begins northeast toward the Sermeq Avannarleq glacier, followed by an awe-inspiring flyover of Sermeq Kujalleq Glacier — the largest producer of icebergs in the Northern Hemisphere.
From there, you’ll follow massive icebergs as they drift from the Icefjord toward Disko Bay, where lucky passengers may spot whales breaching among the ice giants. On the return flight, enjoy a stunning aerial view of Ilulissat as we approach the airport — a picture-perfect ending to your Arctic adventure.
